Creating or claiming the Google My Business listing of your dental websites is essential to the success of your dental practice. It is free and simple to do, so there’s no excuse for you not to utilize this feature. If you don’t have an existing GMB listing, you can create one. If there’s a listing in existence, you can claim your business by providing a verified email address.

Go to Google.com/business

You will be taken to the homepage of GMB where you need to click Manage Now to start claiming your listing or to create a new one.

Enter the Name of your Company

When you start to type the name of your company, businesses with similar names will appear. Choose your business and location when you see it. If the name of your business did not appear, you need to create a new listing.

Enter the Business Address

Next, you will be asked to enter your business address. Make sure to enter the full address because this will help in the location search. Check the box “I deliver goods and services to my customers” only if you do deliveries. Many of your clients will search for that particular feature.

Drop the Pin

On the next page, you will be asked to mark your business address on the map. Drop the red pin at the exact location of your business.

Enter the Business Category

Choose the category that best fits your business. You can add categories later on but on this page, just input one.

Enter the Contact Information

You will be asked to enter the contact information of your business listing. Make sure you put in the correct details such as the telephone number and the website URL. Potential customers will use the information found here to contact your business.

Get Verified

Google will need to verify your account and your business before they make your listing public. The verification can happen by requesting a postcard to be sent to the business address, requesting a phone call or text, emailing, instant verification using Google Search Console, and video verification through a video call with a GMB specialist.

Getting your listing verified will provide many perks to your business, including allowing new customers to find you on Google Search and Maps, promoting your business with the use of photos and videos, tracking business analytics, boosting your dental websites, and responding to customer queries and reviews.
