The US Census Bureau said that about 12% of the US population moves annually. This means that many—perhaps all—of these new movers need new dentists in their new cities and towns. This is why it’s important that your dental patient marketing involves keeping up to date with new happenings in the town, including who are the new families that took up residence there.

How can you invite and attract these new residents over to your dental practice?

Send New-to-town Postcards

The old snail mail still works, you know? Don’t be creepy though and find out the names of the new residents. You don’t have to personally address the postcards to the new residents. It can be a generic postcard that welcomes them to the neighborhood and lets them know that you are the preferred dentist by the community. It would also help if you can put there the insurance policies that you accept as payment.

Join Community Gatherings

Community gatherings are where you’re going to meet these new residents. They are more likely to attend the gatherings because they, too, would like to know their neighbors. These events are perfect opportunities to get to know your customers.

You can sponsor it even. Or you can invite the community over to your house for a weekend barbecue party. This way, you will be able to keep up not only with the new residents but with the rest of the community, too.

Be Visible on Social Media

Your new residents will most probably check out social media to see what’s up in the community. Make sure you have a dedicated Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles for your dental patient marketing that they can check out and gather information from. These profiles need to be updated and they need to provide the information that any potential clients need to see.

Claim Your Google My Business Profile

One of the first things that new residents will look for is the Google My Business. They’ll check out the nearest laundromat, bank, dentists, primary caregivers, babysitters, grocery stores, convenient stores, etc. Claiming your Google My Business (GMB) profile is too easy that you would be amiss not to do it.

All you have to do is sign in, look for the exact name of your business, claim the profile by providing the requirements, and customize it with as much information as you can—operating hours, services offered, the appointment system, and many more.
